It's fun to be on the look out for new lack hack ideas. I love this photo, from MWM design, featured on Kelly's blog yesterday. Also! This is the cover of the new online magazine from Australia, Ivy and Piper. It's a must-read check it out!

And it got me thinking... could a couple of simple corbels from Home Depot and a little time with my sander make a Lack table this gorgeous?

Fab idea...it's so very simple and affordable. It's one of those "now why didn't I think of this" ideas. Thanks & wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative transformation!
ReplyDeleteAmazing idea! Do you think the Lack is sturdy enough for this, though?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea, I think I just may have to do this! xo

ReplyDeleteOoh, love this. Might have to give it a go! I'm off to check out Ivy & Piper now (Piper is my puppy's name so I can already tell I'll like it)!
ReplyDeleteA great tweek that really make it look non-Ikea...Like

ReplyDeletewhat a brilliant idea! love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you are on to something here. Generally, I'm not a huge fan of the Lack tables. They are just "there" to me and whenever I see one, no matter the color or use, I just think, "Eh. Ikea. $7.99. Okay." but the way you show these tables..well, I think I may just have to get on board. Love it.
ReplyDeletethat= amazing
ReplyDeletefantastic idea!!!
ReplyDeletehmm.. spray shellac in white? right?
love this.
I do think they have potential, but they're only 17 inches high. That sort of limits a lot of the uses unless you're working with a child's room or something.
ReplyDeleteI think that would work perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteYou are brilliant! I remember you were also thinking of adding nailhead trim. I would love to see a few before & afters if you or any of your readers give it a go!
ReplyDeleteYou are a genius. I may just have to try this!!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT!!! I'm so in love with IKEA, I got my husband to let me name out puppy Ikea :D. I picked up a bunch of those Lack side tables for our living room and our bed room. I even use one for a kiddy table for my 2 girls to eat at and use for their craft projects. I never thought about embellishing them. I'm going to have to try this out. :D
ReplyDeleteDid you see my hack?
