I just finished the coolest DIY project using the IKEA Maskros. I can't wait to share the photos and tutorial with you very soon (probably Monday)!

I didn't realize it was a gold spray prainted Ikea chandelier! I saw that house tour, it's beautiful, very peaceful.
I love this chandy and really wanted to use it in my girls' rooms, so I made a trip to IKEA and low and behold, this will only take a 40 W bulb. Boo. Hiss. Had to settle for the Leran, which I still like, but I wish these fab chandys could handle more wattage...assuming it's the paper flowers? Can't wait to see what you've done with this!
Sara - my Maskros chandelier takes a 75 watt bulb (per the instructions on the box). It's actually pretty bright!
The gold is really nice. I really like that living room and all the furniture in it!

It works so well with the color of her stone fireplace. The Young House Love folks have used it as well.

The gold is about a thousand times better than the white! Especially hung high enough, it looks so glamorous!

Five girlfriends and I have decided to leave our children at home and travel for a weekend to New York. We can't believe it! I was wondering if you or your blog readers have any suggestions about great locations or hotels to stay. Several of us have never been to New York so we are over the moon. Love it! We're re-doing some light fixtures in our beach house and need to do it inexpensively. I never even thought of Ikea. That chandelier is fabulous!

I'm all over painting anything gold. And that house tour was pretty amazing - I love how we see more oversized cushions and floor pillows nowadays.

I completely HATED that light fixture, but painting it gold gives it such a different look. One of those "Why didn't I think of that?" moments.

To be honest this light just did nought for me but man spray it gold and put in that room and it works! x
I starting falling for the chandelier after seeing it on YHL. To be honest, I don't like the gold. I do however like the idea of painting it, I'd go with silver though.
