Sophisticated Nursery
I get lots of emails asking for boys' room/nursery inspiration. In case you didn't notice, we're sort of lacking in the little boys department at the Komenda household. But if I were to have a little guy, this nursery would definitely be in the inspiration file. I love how sophisticated it is! You can just tell this kid is going to be so cool when he grows up.

Oh my goodness...I actually spied the Hot Air Balloon light fixture on Pinterest a while back and thought it'd be the perfect accent to a girls room as well. Luv seeing it up in a room tho. Thanks!

Another great source of inspiration is the book, "Room for Children: Stylish places for sleep and play," by Susanna Salk. The images are very current and range from traditional to hip.

I need to get a camera to photograph jake's room. It is a little boy's room that he can grow up in- because I like to have a decorated house, but I don't want to have to keep updating it. The theme is "explorer" and it is covered in "artifacts" from all over the world. He has a globe and an old trunk and all of the stuff Nate brought back from Brazil, from our vacations in Mexico, the Anasazi items I made, Stuff from family visits to fiji, China, Korea, and the Philippines. I am really happy with it. It might just need some old maps though!
I am obsessed with this kids room! I've had it saved in my favorites folder since I first saw it and I kinda want it as my own room- not for a kid :)

Erin is hands down one of my most favorite people in all of blogland. She has an amazing eye for interiors, incredible photography skills, and besides being super smart, her knowledge of art is unparalleled. That cutie Ike is lucky to have such a fabulous, envy-inducing room and such a talented mama!

I had so much fun designing my son's nursery last year. I loved the challenge that it presented - since, in my opinion - there are more options at market for a little girl's nursery. But this one is fantastic!
