Laundry on Wed. and Sat., bathroom clean on Thursdays. I'm terrible about sticking to a routine, so walking in the door, looking at a printed schedule of chores and knocking them out right after work is the only way we keep things clean around here.literaldoctorcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10924806398388239241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-25732102478058579422012-06-19T14:26:28.958-04:002012-06-19T14:26:28.958-04:00I commit to doing about 30 minutes worth of "...I commit to doing about 30 minutes worth of "picking up" and organizing/styling at home after work every day. I have a over the door shoe rack holder the kind with the clear plastic pockets! It was very cheap to purchase and each slot contains one type of craft supply!

Second, is in the summer we are going and doing a lot of things so I have made several bags to put in the closet each with a tag for what it is for! I have one bag that I keep year round for bad weather, with all nececties in it for if we had to run to the bathroom in case of a tornado! It has clothes for the kids and dry socks and a leash for the dog and a bag of food for the animals and a gallon back of snacks for the kiddos, and flahlights and bottled water and a small first aid kit! Then I have one for the lake which has all sorts of water toys, towels, floaties and sunscreen then one for picnics has everything but the food, plates, napkins forks etc. then there is our church bag which has activity books for my 5 year old to do during church and some books to read. Then I have our car bag which has books and a couple stuffed animals and one toy for each kiddos for days we do errands they have stuff to do in the car.

I hope that this can help someone else that needs a little peace in their home! Good luck to everyone!Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09682057919914359042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-53490689781443524522012-06-17T06:55:58.890-04:002012-06-17T06:55:58.890-04:00For organizing, I can't have enough baskets an...For organizing, I can't have enough baskets and bins. So if I notice that the fridge needs a clean out, I will wipe down two shelves each time my tea is in the microwave. After 5 cups of tea, the fridge is cleaned out. Or I will straighten/sort one drawer while putting clothes away. After a few loads of laundry are "put-aways" the dressers are organized. Otherwise I will procrastinate about things. kikoindallas at hotmail dot comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-88341633514966736602012-06-15T09:57:02.048-04:002012-06-15T09:57:02.048-04:00If I have not used something in a year, it gets do...If I have not used something in a year, it gets donated or sold. I get a lot of decorating magazines that I like to keep out but I don't want them to get out of control. So in January every year I sit down and flip through them to the dogeared pages and if it's something worth keeping I rip it out and add it to my inspiration binder. After I've gone through the magazines of that year I recycle them all and start the yearly collection at square one.Adelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07357926149193146040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-73846229460346783462012-06-14T13:06:23.230-04:002012-06-14T13:06:23.230-04:00for keeping the clutter away, i use various sized ...for keeping the clutter away, i use various sized plastic boxes and label them for what contents belong in there.

to keep the amount of stuff in my small space manageable, i rated everything i owned into: love, like, use and don't use. if i didn't love it and didn't use it, i got rid of it. so now i don't own excessive numbers of towels, hang on to crafts i'll never get to. it's made cleaning so much more pleasant and easier!

also helpful for moving!Léahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05547860631740373591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-83829832273528119132012-06-13T10:51:58.721-04:002012-06-13T10:51:58.721-04:00Trying to do a little cleaning and organizing ever...Trying to do a little cleaning and organizing everyday is what works for me!Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00058921255443366198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3009168790894665633.post-16487723615262647412012-06-12T23:17:42.081-04:002012-06-12T23:17:42.081-04:00Living in an older bungalow, my best organizing to...Living in an older bungalow, my best organizing tool is to get rid of items I don't really need and to only buy things I love.
