So wanting to copy the look of these curtains I saw the other day at Ethan Allan. Who would have thought that a criss-cross pattern would look so great?
Jenny, I did this exact pattern on my plain curtains with ribbon and ironing tape (is that the right word?) easy but a little time consuming. I'll try to send you a pic or boat one on my blog. You could so do it!!
Hmm... I've been thinking about making horizontal striped drapes but now I may have to give the criss-cross idea a try! I wish there was an Ethan Allen in NYC!
Oh, don't get me started on these curtains! I have been eyeing up these criss cross drapes from Ballard Designs. I am tempted to try penciling criss cross lines on curtains and sewing along the lines to create my own embroidered type effect.
They are really gorgeous.. I love the simple but stylish effect the criss cross pattern gives!

I especially love the pattern becomes somewhat rounded as a result of the curtain flow!
ReplyDeleteWondering if this can be achieved with a fabric pen on white panels?
Love those drapes and absolutely love your blog!! You definitely have a new follower!!
