I want to go to there

Oh, thank goodness it's Friday. It's been one of those weeks. Perpetually behind and completely exhausted. I'm ready for a day or two of sleeping in and eating out! Who's with me?

Dec 2009 House and Garden

P.S. My secret wish is to have a weekend/country home some day. And in my dreams it looks just like this house. Serene, but still fun and colorful. I feel better just looking at this photo.

  1. I am so ready for the weekend! My best friend from high school grew up in a home that looks alot like this. The cozy, bright, atmosphere instantly makes you feel at home.

  5. My husband and I talk about our someday weekend home all the time :) We call it "The Farm". It is going to be an old white farmhouse in the middle of nowhere with a spacious kitchen and a cozy room with a fireplace. And lots of land. And an in-ground pool for summer parties.
    A girl can dream, right?

  8. I don't know if we were supposed to hear "I want to go to there" in Liz Lemmon's stilted delivery, but I did. Love that image! So pretty, and looks like the perfect easy care laid back weekend place. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Oh, I was definitely doing my best Liz Lemon voice in my head for the title. I-want-to-go-to-there.

Are you guys reading Bossypants? I'm on chapter 4 or 5 and I love it. I wonder if Tina Fey needs a decorator...

I came across it in blogosphere :) and thought of you! I still love this print and have seen it used in all kinds of projects. But I've never seen it supersized and painted on a wall. LOVE IT!

  18. Oh I know the feeling - I could actually do the year round thing in a place such as that at this point in the game. One of my all-time favorite Tina Fey quotes, btw.
