Trina, who writes the blog A Country Farmhouse, used my pelmet tutorial to make a cornice for her master bedroom.
I LOVE this restful, serene look for a bedroom. It's easy to think an all-white bedroom would be sort of sterile, but it's so soft and lovely. Wouldn't you love to crawl into bed here and take a long nap? :) Great job Trina!
Beautiful! I love all white! I used your DIY this past summer to make pelmet boxes for our dreadful playroom. It was so easy and inexpensive. I given up on the room, as my kids rule that room, but it was a fun project that I plan on repeating elsewhere. http://covetdujour.blogspot.com/search?q=pelmet
I really love A Country Farmhouse - Mike & Trina have done an amazing job on their home (their kitchen reno is my favorite!) ...and the pelmet idea is another LGN genius idea that just keeps going!
Beautiful! I grew up sharing a bedroom with my twin sister and we had cornices over our beds in a wonderful chinz. My mother still has the cornices in her Hampton guest room and now my twin boys sleep there - they call it The Princess Room! Thank you for introducing me to A Country Farmhouse - what a great blog! Cynthia
I saw this the other day and drooled. It's beautiful and so inviting. I may give your tutorial a whirl for my headboardless bed someday.
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration.
Have a nice day,
Erin
I love how simple yet luscious this looks! Wish I could curl up there with a book and a mimosa right now.

So pretty! It's a great way to cover a window to put a bed in front of.
