Happy Holidays!

Christmas snuck up on me in the most major way. Do you feel the same? The girls took on most of the holiday decorating themselves this year (hence the sparse tree with the crooked star), but looking around, I love it all more than anything I could have done if I had had the time. These kids are so, so excited for Evie's birthday tomorrow and then of course for Christmas. It's seriously just magical to watch them scurry around the house making preparations. :)

We are doing some last minute shopping this afternoon (wish me luck), a little service project this evening and then tonight I have a whole lot of gingerbread house pieces to make for a little family party we're having over here tomorrow for Evelyn. We've been hosting a lot of visitors the past couple days and truly, there's nothing like house guests to push me to get projects done. Am I right? I started hanging art in our house this week (some of these are thrift store pieces I just bought for the frame!) and while there's still a long way to go with decorating projects, suddenly it feels like our house. Perfect timing!

    Love the white tree and art!

    We decided on Saturday to host a NYE party and by 10 pm last night a guest bedroom and bathroom was painted, trim throughout the house was touched up, concrete counters were attempted (2nd coat goes on tonight!) and a kitchen light fixture was fixed. Guests are the best motivation ever!

    Do you have one of those metal frames that come apart with set-screws (the one with the star art?). I always think that those are the best buy - I can take them all apart and they have the best hardboard in them to put my own art into...Lovely girls and beautiful image of you and your family enjoying your Home.     I bought a couch for my NYE party because I was so embarrassed by guests basically falling into my current one at a Christmas party. (It has a broken spring.) Ethan Allen, freshly cleaned upholstery. I negotiated to $300, including delivery.

    Yes! I can clean up my house and transform rooms at lightning speed when I know guests are coming... if guests aren't coming, well then my house is usually a disaster haha. Gorgeous tree! Happy New Year!

    Your house seriously belongs in a magazine Stacey! Simple as though it may seem, you added the right amount of decor to make everything Festive and so pretty!
