New Issue of Domino (and Beautiful Neutrals)!

Wonderful news! The new print issue of Domino is now on newstands! Technically it hits next week, but I found copies here in Arizona in groceries stores and at Barnes and Noble, so it should be everywhere. And guys, it's really, really good.

The team shared a couple of sneak peek photos with me and invited me to pass them along to you. Both of the images feature mostly neutral interiors. You all know how much I love the concept of neutral backdrops with pops of color. It's an easy recipe that works every time. Domino's Editor-in-Chief, Michelle Adams, had this to say about this artist's space:

Designers are gravitating towards pared down scandinavian-influenced interiors, using color to express their personalities. This artist, Jenna Snyder-Phillips, was influenced by her ink, oil and charcoal paintings. The neutral black and gray tones allow her art to take center stage and this sophisticated palette makes her 400 sq ft space feel grand.

And how gorgeous is this living room in the Harlem apartment of designer Ron Marvin? He was inspired by a Kravet fabric with lots of beautiful, neutral tones. I think all the textural elements in here really make this room sing!

Here are some items that I'm loving in neutral tones with a similar vibe to these beautiful Domino spaces:

  2. So exciting! My dad subscribed me to Domino when I was a teen and I was devastated when it ended. It is so exciting to see it up and running again! Loving all of the items you posted, I pretty much clicked on every link :)

  3. Beautiful! Love domino, so excited they're back.
    Love the mood boards!
And I have to say- one of the responses above drives me batty. I started posting for Apartment Therapy a few weeks ago, creating nursery mood boards. The first comment on my very first post was to indicate that one of the items was not available. No comment whatsoever on the design. I'd been admiring said lamp for over a year and it was discontinued the day before the post went live. Stuff gets discontinued at the last minute, there's not much you can do about that. The purpose of the mood board is to create a mood for the design, not be a shopping list for your room makeover.

  8. That slatted Anthro mirror is so cool. I've just recently taken over our guest room to use as my sewing room/studio, which means I finally have a space I can decorate totally to my liking, without having to hear any complaining from my husband or son. The mirror would be amazing in there to bounce light around the small room.

And I'm especially partial to the leopard pillow. I carry the same fabric in my Etsy shop. You can find them here, if anyone is interested!
