On LED Bulbs (and a Home Depot Give Away!)

Thank you to the locals that stopped by the lighting DIY Workshop that I partnered with the Home Deport on last weekend! I LOVED meeting you and it was great to get tips from the on-site lighting expert about how to increase lighting energy efficiency. It's a topic I've been sadly pretty ignorant about until recently. We have a lot of CFLs in our house, but the Home Depot guy encouraged me to look at their LED offerings while I was at the store on Saturday.

I think it sort of stinks to have to drop $8-16 on just a single bulb, but how crazy is it that LED bulbs last for literally 20 years and they use a fraction of the wattage that an incandescent bulb uses?!

I picked up a pretty expensive (almost $16!) Cree bulb that has a new technology that's supposed to help colors read more correctly, which has been my main complaint about LED in the past. I also bought this Ecosmart two-pack as a cheaper comparison that brought the price-per-bulb down to about $8. And I threw in to the test group an incandescent I already owned for good measure, just because I was curious. All of the bulbs were Soft White in tone and 60 watts or equivalent.

 photo HD5.jpg

I'm sure there are some in-between option too. I just picked up what jumped out to me. (What have you tried and liked?)

 photo vIMG_5847.jpg

Well, here are the results of my extremely technical and super scientific light test results! ;)

 photo HD4text.jpg

I actually really liked the tone of the most expensive LED bulb (surprise, surprise), but really the Ecosmart brand wasn't bad at all. I'd probably use it in bedrooms or for fixtures we use a little less. And actually I've read that it's a good idea to switch over to the more expensive bulbs over time to help spread out the initial expense, but that you should put the new bulbs in your most frequently used fixtures so you can start the energy savings right away.

 photo HD1.jpg

As a part of the workshop last weekend, Home Depot gave me a $100 gift card to give away today! Maybe you'll want to spend the gift card on a dozen or so new LEDs? :) To enter, leave a comment here on this post. I'd love to hear about what bulbs you're using and loving.

Contest ends next Thursday at midnight. Winner will be emailed. Good luck!

PS Home Depot has lots of great (free!) DIY workshops coming up! To see what your local store has to offer, check out the registration page here!

  1. We're in the middle of switching out our energy saving ones to these newer, color-friendly LEDs. I'm so glad the blue tinge of LEDs has vastly improved!

  2. We are renovating our new/old victorian and making this old house more energy-efficient is at the top of our to-do list!

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'm still using the ge reveals but twenty years!? Yeah, I'll be switching.

    ReplyDelete
  4. We just purchased our first home. So, when we need new light bulbs we will be looking for LED's.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I would love try those new bulbs! I hate the fluorescent look of the older efficient ones.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Wow, didn't even know LED for the home existed! Thanks for helping us as always!

    ReplyDelete
  7. We've been replacing with LED's but no particular brand. I have been thinking that I should start paying better attention to the various options. My biggest complaint on the ones we have is they take a few seconds to reach their full brightness. Not that big of a deal, just a little annoying. Thanks for the chance to win.

  8. I am using the "old fashioned light bulbs", and will continue until I purchase some of the new LED's which give me a similar lighing effect.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'll have to check out the LEDs we have mostly CFLs and they aren't the cutest lights on the block!

    ReplyDelete
  10. We use LEDs because they last super long!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I always have the hardest time picking out lightbulbs - silly but true! In your test I have to say that I still prefer the incandescent but the lifetime of those LED bulbs is insane!

    ReplyDelete
  12. love the led's we have added so far!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I could easily spend it on LEDs, or a ceiling fan, or paint.

    ReplyDelete
  14. We have a few CFLs but all the rest are incandescent. I'd like to try some LEDs!

    ReplyDelete
  15. We've starting switching to the LED's . They are definitely improved over a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've been wanting to switch my too-glaring CFLs over to LED bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Love the tone of the new bulbs! Def want to get those for in my own home. Great info.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That Cree light looks great!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I haven't bought any of the new bulbs yet, but will probably just buy whatever is cheaper.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I have been meaning to switch over and you just gave me another reason!

  22. Thanks for doing this test! I usually hate the color of LED lighting, but this is convincing me that things have improved!

  23. My husband is an electrician and we're both really into going green. Last summer, we moved in with my elderly grandparents to help take care of them, and wound up carving out an apartment in their basement. We wired in Sylvania LEDs as can lights throughout. I LOVE them. We have them on dimmers because they are so bright. Recently we've been replacing the upstairs bulbs with LEDs as they burn out, and we've noticed a significant savings on the electric bill. LEDs all the way, baby!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Still using the incandescents in my stash...just love the look!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I received a CREE LED bulb from Haven and I have to say I really like it compared to any bulb I have tried. Great giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I use a combination of both LED and CFL bulbs in my house still, but I rarely have more than two lights on at the same time. Either I'm very stingy with my electricity use, or I prefer a dim "ambience." Yeah, that's it. ;o)

    ReplyDelete
  27. We use LED bulbs in the light fixtures we use the most except for the bathroom. I like to use those blue tinted bulbs for the bathroom. There are still many more in the house that I'd like to eventually switch.

Thanks for the giveaway! I love to read your posts.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I am glad they are improving the LEDs. I am really sensitive to glaring bright light so I am still using incandescents.

    ReplyDelete
  29. While I would love to save money and energy, I can only use incandescent bulbs because all other bulbs trigger my migraines.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It is interesting to see the difference in the bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  31. We still use incandescents, but I would love to invest in LEDs and start saving some pennies and the planet!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Great Giveaway! And a $100 gift card would be a super incentive to switch to LEDs!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I stay confused where bulbs are concerned. When they announced no more 100 watt bulbs would be for sale I rushed to Walmart and bought all they had on the shelf. A gift card to use for the newer bulbs would be wonderful and maybe clear my confusion. Face it, how many of us have the $$ to change all our bulbs?

    ReplyDelete
  34. We bought a new home 6 years ago and most of our bulbs are still going strong! When we do need to buy new bulbs we get the LEDs.

    ReplyDelete
  35. For everyday usage, I love the glow of LEDs, but if I'm painting the bulb first, incandescent bulbs look nicer.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I use cfls but would love to transition to LEDs

    ReplyDelete
  37. I use soft pink incandescent bulbs, which are getting hard to find and which I've never seen in LED format. So if I won the gift card I would probably buy a bunch of soft white LEDs like you said. I appreciated your comparison!

    ReplyDelete
  38. We've just been using mostly cfls, but i'm excited to try some led lights.

    ReplyDelete
  39. We want to slowly switch over and am now interested in these LEDs! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I am so glad to hear there is a good option b/c I've hated all of the energy efficient bulbs we've gotten in the past! Would love to use that gift card to get some! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I just use the cheapest incandescents at the moment because it doesn't matter what we use in our rental house they blow out (we dropped a lot of money on cfl's to know this...). Hate to think what the state of the wiring in this house really is....

    ReplyDelete
  42. I've basically switched over to energy efficient bulbs throughout my entire place; I was pretty skeptical initially but they have definitely lasted substantially longer than the previous (regular) bulbs I was using

    ReplyDelete
  43. I so need to buy some LEDs...I haven't liked the CFLs I use at all.

    ReplyDelete
  44. We use cfl but will prob slowly switch to led as they burn out

    ReplyDelete
  45. Ugh. I so badly need to start doing this myself. I know it'll make a huge difference to someone like me who enjoys many lights on.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Loving the newer LEDs, although I must say I miss the look of the incandescent bulbs. What can I say, I'm old-school.

    ReplyDelete
  47. We are currently using Sylvania LED 65 watt equivalent spot lights. We bought a bunch of them when they were on clearance for $30 each. They are "supposed" to last a very long time...we'll see! We do really like them!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've had the same color complaint with LED bulbs before, but if I had a $100 gift card I'd try out the Cree bulb. It seems to be the season for the bulbs in my house to go out, so if that works out I could slowly start replacing all of them one by one.

    ReplyDelete
  49. We still have some incandescent bulbs to use up- then it will be time to start switching to energy efficient bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Very cool to see how far LED lights have come!

    ReplyDelete
  51. What a great giveaway! We are slowly switching over to LED bulbs as well :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I've change most of my light bulbs to the LEDs.

    ReplyDelete
  53. LEDs are super cool and it's great that you are promoting them!

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's been great to see the updates that have occurred with LED technology. The lighting quality has definitely improved.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I was thinking that the incandescent bulbs being phased out was such a bummer because I really dislike CFL's. After reading this, and seeing the comparisons, I will for definitely be replacing my incandescent bulbs with LED's.

    ReplyDelete
  56. We've been using LED's.

  57. I've never tried the LEDs, but would like to!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Our new home came will all LED but I hate the way everything looks with them, so we have been slowly upgrading to better ones. Thanks for the recommendations.

    ReplyDelete
  59. We use the REVEAL light bulbs and like them... although not as cost effective. Maybe we'll switch over as they die!

    ReplyDelete
  60. We have a mixture of bulbs in our house. Slowly moving over to LEDs.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Was thinking of buying some cree bulbs but the price always stops me. Will just buy a few for my kitchen and table light.

    ReplyDelete
  62. This is great! I need to make the transition.

    ReplyDelete
  63. We had switched out almost all the bulbs in our old (small) house and now are in the (slower) process of doing so in our new, bigger home. I do love only having to change that bulb once!

    ReplyDelete
  64. We still have so many CFLs, but we're switching over to LEDs as the CFLs fail. Their such an improvement over what was available just a couple of years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  65. the old bulbs give off so much heat. but, it is hard to make the switch to something so much more expensive. I get it thought. It will just take me a while to get totally on board

    ReplyDelete
  66. Just switched out our master bath fixtures this week.

    ReplyDelete
  67. We use the energy efficient bulbs that are twisted and too big for the covers that go over bulbs

    tbarrettno1 at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  68. We use energy efficient bulbs, but honestly it's just whatever brand is cheapest...

    ReplyDelete
  69. As my bulbs burn out, I replace with LED's.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Home Depot was having a sale (sponsored by our local electric company) a year or so ago and I was able to get a pack of 4 CFLs for 1.97! So I stocked up then and still have 8 of them left. But I have been wanting to try out the LEDs and this would give me a great excuse!

    ReplyDelete
  71. I would love to try the LED bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Slowly making the switch to LEDs, though it can be hard to figure out the right color

    ReplyDelete
  73. We have switched about half of our lights. The off light bothers me. I'll take a look at that brand.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I like the reveal bulbs, but this might convince me to make the switch. Usually, the LED lights give off a blue-ish light, so I'll be interested to see these in person.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I always go for the LEDs - they last a long time!

    ReplyDelete
  76. I like using the LED bulbs since they dont go out as much

    ReplyDelete
  77. Making the switch from incandescents has been weighing on me for a couple of years now, so I was really thrilled to see a couple of LED options with your stamp of approval!

    ReplyDelete
  78. Love the LED lights. At 1st I was worried because they weren't so bright but they they brighten up.

  79. It's crazy what a difference a bulb can make!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Thank you so much for the opportunity! I'd love to try these!

    ReplyDelete
  81. We made a sputnik chandelier like yours (love it btw!!!) and I was surprised that the LED light from IKEA worked better than the regular. I was for sure that I would like the regular better - glad LEDs are getting better!

    ReplyDelete
  82. My dad and I were just talking about this - he is having an existential crisis about replacing the dining room candelabra bulbs. I'm happy with the advent of LEDs, though - CFLs make me nervous!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I would love to switch more of our fixtures to LED. I have a few (from IKEA) that I am loving!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I am still usin gold lightbulbs. I need to get LEDS!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I would LOVE to switch out all of my old bulbs! Love this post! Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  86. I want to try LED bulbs now that they don't look blue!

    ReplyDelete
  87. I use CFLs but plan on looking into replacing them with LEDs as needed.

    ReplyDelete
  88. We're moving in a week so I'm sure we'll need some new bulbs! We mostly have a mix of CFL's now, but nothing fancy. It would be so nice to throw some LEDs in the mix.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Thanks for the helpful info. Did not know LED are used in the home like this. Will be trying soon!

    ReplyDelete
  90. When we first met moved into our home I thought I hated the orangey granite in the kitchen. Turns out it was the sallowy tinge of the bulbs. Soon cooler LEDs and I was a happy camper!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I need a light bulb primer! I enter the aisle and break into a sweat trying to figure it all out!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I honestly haven't tried anything other than CFLs, haha. I did hear about some new dimmable LEDs, so those are next on my list to try.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I am totally against LED for reasons that relate to my love of muted lighting. My husband has been sneaking them in anyway! which when i dont' notice makes me feel better about the environment. I'm sure i will love the most expensive bulbs as well - which is why I need to win this gift card!
    Go green!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Kind of skeptical of LEDs since I like the warmth of incandescents, but I guess it depends what kind you get.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thanks for the tips! I always wonder what the side-by-side comparisons would reveal. We are slowly but surely switching to LEDs, though I usually go for the middling priced options (I can be a little too thrifty). We've switched out the lights over our dining area, entry way, bedroom, and one of the offices.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I switched the 5 light bulbs in my dining room chandelier over to dimmable LEDs and love them, especially since I was able to get them in the warmer colors. When we remodeled our kitchen, code required us to install fluorescent CFLs, and they seem to burn out very quickly. I'd love the chance to switch those CFLs over to LEDs.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I had no idea about all the choices!!

    ReplyDelete
  98. Great timing! I just bought a new lamp for my daughter's bedroom and was sadly disappointed when I flicked it on and the lighting made her room look- blah! I love the comparison photos. Looks like these led have cone a long way. Looking forward to replacing all of ours :) thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  99. We mostly use incandescent bulbs since they are cheapest and we have so many lights in our house. I would love to try some LED bulbs and see if it makes a difference in our electric bill. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  100. ooooh nice timing! we close on our new house TOMORROW! would love to add some energy efficient bulbs to the new place :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. I've switched most to LEDs but don't love the color of the light emitted -- I would love to get ones that last a really long time with better coloring

    ReplyDelete
  102. What a coincidence. We just purchased a led bulb for our porch light. Would love a HD GC

    ReplyDelete
  103. I have used the spiral ones - but I don't think they're LED?

    ReplyDelete
  104. It was great meeting you at the workshop. Got some good ideas now for my lighting situation.

    ReplyDelete
  105. We now have all LEDs-even outside. Love them. I definitely hope we don't have to move anytime soon, they have been quite the investment.

    ReplyDelete
  106. We use a mix of CFL and LED bulbs around the house. Fortunately for us, my husband's family owns a Supply house and we are able to get the bulbs at cost.

    ReplyDelete
  107. My local, small town hardware store had a hard time selling the led lights that fit into the can lights and so they clearances them out for $11 each, down from $45. We got enough to our whole house and love them. They are super bright though so I am happy that these particular ones can work with a dimmer :-)

    ReplyDelete
  108. I've always hesitated swapping because the light is usually so bright from these and not soft. These look like a much warmer/softer version.

    ReplyDelete
  109. While LED bulbs are wonderful for reducing energy costs they are toxic when broken. Open windows and leave immediately if one of these babies brakes in your nest. Also when disposing please be mindful and place in zip tight bag. Happy Nesting.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I'd love to win! I haven't tried led bulbs yet but love the idea of saving any where I can!

  112. We are about to update our kitchen and replace the old track lighting with LED down lights, so this give away could not be more perfectly timed.

    ReplyDelete
  113. We mainly use CFLs, which we can get super super cheap at Costco. But since LEDs last so long and are more efficient, we might be switching over.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I mainly use CFLs - because our electricity company gave us a whole box for free when we moved into the house!

    ReplyDelete
  115. We recently moved so our rental home has a mix of bulbs. I have been thinking of trying LED when we need to replace bulbs, they are just so darn expensive.

If I turned out to be the lucky winner, not sure I could use an entire $100 gift card on light bulbs though. Surely, you understand. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  116. I switched the CFLs and got used to the second or two delay before the light reached it's full strength. The color aspect I somewhat compensated for with the lining of the lampshade, so I expect I will figure out a similar solution with the LEDs. Great to hear that they have improved the color. I would definitely take a gift card and switch the bulbs; green is where the world is going...

    ReplyDelete
  117. slowly converting over to the LEDs!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I'm sadly still using the CFLs, but we're getting ready to move to a new apartment - perfect time for switching over.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Got a free LED, I like it a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I've been wanting to upgrade to the the new LED light bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  121. I actually just started using LED bulbs and I'm adjusting. They definitely are nicer but at first it was hard for me to adjust to a different kind of light if that makes any sense lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  122. We've purchased LED in the past (except for when we need some crazy bulbs for an IKEA fixture) and it really is amazing how long they last! Might have to talk to mister into one of these fancy CREE bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  123. I switched over many years ago, although I am sure the bulbs are far better now than the offerings I had available to me in the '00s. It really does make a difference in your electric usage and electric bills!!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I've always been so confused by what kind of bulb to get! So many people have lamented the end of the incandescent era--I'm glad to see you were impressed with the LED bulbs you tried!

    ReplyDelete
  125. I use CFLs. Hadn't even researched LEDs. Thanks for the tip

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thanks for making me excited to finally take the plunge on buying LEDs!

    ReplyDelete
  127. We haven't yet started this process - it's all seemed so complicated! Thanks for partnering with Home Depot on the giveaway -

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yikes, paying $18 per bulb is killer. I'm still guilty of going cheap-o most of the time. Whoops!

    ReplyDelete
  129. We're still stuck in the spiraled, funny lighting days of LEDs so it would be wonderful to upgrade!

    ReplyDelete
  130. I've been replacing my lights with Cree's 60 watt. Great deal at Home Depot where they cost $5 each. I still have more to buy but at least half of them are done.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Thank you for sharing your super fancy experiment! We've been somewhat lacking in our light bulb transition, but it's nice to know there are some great options out there, even if they're a bit pricey. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  132. I have some battery operated LED's that I use outside and they are very bright.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I don't really like cfl's but would love to try led's. The price tag has held me back so this would be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  134. I confess to stocking up on incandecents. Hate the delayed start of the CFLs. Do the LEDs do the same thing? I'm trying to hold out until the newer bulbs are improved. Although as much as I like a well lit home, new bulbs would probably make a big difference in the electric bill.

    ReplyDelete
  135. We just bought a new house and one of the things on my (mile long) list to do is buy new bulbs!

    ReplyDelete
  136. I would love to try out some of the bulbs you have demonstrated.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Thanks for sharing info on the new Cree with improved color rendering. I'll be looking at those--today! I typically buy the 2700K LED to achieve warmer light and have been very happy with the switch from incandescent. However, we found the 5000K ('daylight') LED worked best in a Capiz shell fixture. We love the energy savings & a 'cooler' bulb. The bulbs have really improved & Cree is our favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  138. We switched all the big light fixtures' bulbs when we moved here, but are doing the other ones as they die out. I hate having to change light bulbs, so I'll all about the LEDs.

    ReplyDelete
  139. i have been avoiding using LEDs - in fact bought up a lot of incandescents before they stopped selling the old-school version. i love this comparison and it makes me feel like all hope might not be lost!

    ReplyDelete
  140. LED's are a big deal now! Gotta keep up with the times ;)

    ReplyDelete
  141. We used LED recessed lights from Home Depot in our kitchen remodel and love them!

    ReplyDelete
  142. I will definitely be trying out LEDs as my current CFLs burn out. They used to cost so much more! With CFLs I think I bought a different brand every time and never hit on my favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Would love to make the switch from CFLs to LEDs! xo

    ReplyDelete
  144. I usually go for the cheapest option! I would use my gift card for some paint!

    ReplyDelete
  145. What a great giveaway! Changing bulbs is such an easy way to improve the energy throughout your space.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Eek! We just moved into our new home and would love a chance to swap out the current bulbs to LEDs. The $100 Home Depot gift card would be great!

    ReplyDelete
  147. We go through recessed lighting bulbs non-stop! Time to switch to the long-life LED's!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I have never liked the first generation of energy efficient ones we had started using to replace our GEs and I'm excited to try these newer color-friendly bulbs!!

    ReplyDelete
  149. I really need to get some LEDs. My lights now aren't cutting it.

    ReplyDelete
  150. We have several generations of CFL's in the house, and none have really impressed me. I'm interested to see how the LED's pan out in the long run.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Yes please! Lightbulbs, paint, hardware, everything HD! Thanks. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  152. Thanks for this overview. We have a variety of bulbs but my favorite: the Edison bulbs in our kitchen pendants!

    ReplyDelete
  153. We are currently using CFLs but I would love to upgrade!

    ReplyDelete
  154. We are in the process of selling our home and buying a new one. Yay! We definitely want to make the switch to LED bulbs in the new house.

    ReplyDelete
  155. We have a mix of incandescent, fluorescent, CFL, and LED! While I agree the LEDs are crazy expensive, if I don't have to buy a light bulb for 20 years, it pays for itself right there! I would love to be able finally nix all the incandescents with a new gift card!

    ReplyDelete
  156. My husband and I are moving into our first home at the end of the month (yay!!!) and we're planning to start switching a lot of the fixtures over to the more Eco-friendly bulbs. And those newer LEDs that show colors better sound great, since we have a working art studio (we're both artists) and good lighting is extremely important.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Aren't LEDs safer too, because they produce less heat? Something to consider in a child's room where they can reach the light/lamp.

    ReplyDelete
  158. We are slowly switching over to LEDs, and so far we love them.

    ReplyDelete
  159. i hoarded a bunch of incandescents and i am dreading making the change when i run out :P this review will be helpful!

    ReplyDelete
  160. As renters we don't have much of a choice but we're purchasing our first home right now and I'm looking forward to slowly replacing lights to LEDs over time!

    ReplyDelete
  161. We have LEDs all over. My husband and I have gradually been making the switch in our home. Still have plenty of lights to switch over though since we just bought a new place!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Cree bulbs are the best. I put one in every time an incandescent bulb peters out.

    ReplyDelete
  163. We have been switching to LED but mostly out of my laziness to not want to change light bulbs again :)

    ReplyDelete
  164. I've never really had a preference for a brand, but I would love to switch all to LED bulbs.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I don't think we've ever tried LED bulbs- I'm curious if they actually last 20 years- some of our CFLs are supposed to last that long but only last a couple of months.

  168. I invested in CFLs right before LEDs finally got somewhat affordable... ack. Would love to replace them! I bet if I did the math the 20 year lifespan would make up for the cost of replacing all the bulbs, even counting the CFL cost.

  169. The only LEDs I have right now are the ones that came with my ceiling fans and I love them. Would be great to switch all my regular light bulbs to LED.

  185. For some reason I hate changing light bulbs, it annoys me when they burn out. I should definitely switch to LED if they last 20 years!
