Criss-Cross Drapes

So wanting to copy the look of these curtains I saw the other day at Ethan Allan. Who would have thought that a criss-cross pattern would look so great?

  2. Jenny, I did this exact pattern on my plain curtains with ribbon and ironing tape (is that the right word?) easy but a little time consuming. I'll try to send you a pic or boat one on my blog. You could so do it!!

  7. Hmm... I've been thinking about making horizontal striped drapes but now I may have to give the criss-cross idea a try! I wish there was an Ethan Allen in NYC!

  8. Try Calico Corners, OnlineFabricStore.net, or RobertAllenDesigns for "Welland" (by Nautica in China Blue, Day Lily, and Natural)

  9. I especially love the pattern becomes somewhat rounded as a result of the curtain flow!

Wondering if this can be achieved with a fabric pen on white panels?

  11. There's an Ethan Allen Design Center in NYC and it's located at 1010 3rd Avenue (directly across the street from Dylan's Candy Bar).

  16. Oh, don't get me started on these curtains! I have been eyeing up these criss cross drapes from Ballard Designs. I am tempted to try penciling criss cross lines on curtains and sewing along the lines to create my own embroidered type effect.
