Buttery Soft Camel Leather

Today got away from me somehow, but I wanted to pop in to say the Chesterfield arrived! It's lovely and so comfortable and makes me super excited for those 'we're-staying-in-our-apartment-longer-than-expected' changes. Can't wait to share.

  1. All of that tufting is stunning, but I can't help but remember my grnadmother's tufted sofa. Every tuft seemed to collect all things grody...and she was a cleaning fanatic! Do you have tips on how to keep them from getting nasty buildup in the tufts? If so, then I've been wanting to make a tufted ottoman!

  11. Will you be leaving this alone as is, or do you have some sort of DIY in store. I know how you like to add your mark.

  19. Beautiful! I have a blue chesterfield sofa that I also bought off eBay and had shipped via uship. It had been sitting in a law office in Indiana for 30 years and was in great shoe. It came to NYC in the back of a new ambulance that the shipping company was also delivering. Ha!

  20. That Chesterfield is dreamy!

I once found a beautiful cognac chester on craigslist Dallas for $200.

I had just moved from Dallas to NYC. I kick myself over that one.

  26. I am almost embarrassed at the level of furniture envy I have over this sofa. Should, in the future, you decide you are done with it, keep my name and email on hand :-)

Really lovely find - cant wait to see more shots of it in the whole space!

  30. Ok you motivated me to try uShip. Just scored a set of brass faux bamboo bookshelves i've been lusting after which were promptly delivered from Indy to Chicago within 48 hrs by a really nice guy who was down visting his girlfriend anyway in Indy and hauled them back in his SUV. Makes the entire Criagslist nation yours!!! New sponsor idea?? Aren't they a division of ebay anyway??
