The price point is reasonable at around $60 a roll. How perfect would some of these designs be for a small application? A powder bath, a laundry room, a coat closet that your guests will see, an accent wall or nook...

ReplyDeleteShelby: On the first page I linked to, it says all the paper is removable and perfect for renters. I think all the patterns would probably be printed on the same paper?

Ah, I am a renter but I just spoke to my landlady about staying past our lease so I might try this! I had considered temporary wallpaper before but the options (such as tempaper) were just never that eye catching.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure this is no more removable then other self adhesive wallpapers that you can buy on the market. It still won't be pleasant to remove and walls can still be damaged.

ReplyDeleteAnon- There actually is a BIG difference between "regular" wallpaper that has to be pasted or is pre-pasted in the standard way, and paper that is identified as "temporary." I've used both (more of the former type) and can attest to the difference in removal. Completely night and day.

ReplyDeleteWe're planning on putting our house up for sale in 2.5 years, and I live in a very conservative Midwest area, so I've been hesitant to put the wallpaper in my powder room that I'm dying to have. I've been considering one of Spoonflower's temporary wallpapers since I can take it down when it's time to sell. Just can't make up my mind!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered and received several samples of this wallpaper. The instructions say to submerge the sheet in water and then apply to the wall. So I'm guessing it's a weaker adhesive than regular wallpaper? It would be even better for renters to use their vinyl wall decals...but they're too expensive to paper an entire room.

Someone just told me about Spoonflower! I was going to create my own fabric on it, but now I might have to try the wallpaper!

ReplyDeleteAnd for those with questions about installation or removal - it goes up well, very smooth and just like other paper. To take down, the site says you can just peel it off in large sections (or one section). I haven't tried removing yet. I would maybe avoid high moisture areas like a full bath, however, I know some Spoonflower users have installed it in a full bathroom without any complaints. Hope this helps!
